Khawaja on Ashes: Kids and Vulgar Language

Top Online Casino And Sports Betting

The ongoing Ashes series has been nothing short of an edge-of-the-seat contest, with several incidents becoming major talking points.

The closely fought Ashes has seen Australia winning the first two tests and England bouncing back to win the third Test. As the fourth Test of the five-match series is about to begin in Manchester on Wednesday, Australia’s batsman Usman Khawaja has shared his thoughts on the rough treatment they have been receiving from the English crowd.  The contentious stumping of England star batter Jonny Bairstow by Alex Carey off Cameron Green’s bowling led to confrontations in the Lord’s long room.

Moreover, in the third test at Leeds, the Australian players were booed by the home crowd.

Usman Khawaja has criticized this aggressive behavior towards the visiting team. ESPN Cricinfo quoted Usman Khawaja expressing his personal sentiments, stating that he wouldn’t want his kids around the behavior displayed by certain English fans during the Ashes. He mentioned that if he witnessed such conduct, he would either make a complaint or leave. Khawaja cited an incident at Edgbaston where Travis Head was subjected to offensive remarks, leaving him shocked that such language could be used publicly.

Additionally, Khawaja mentioned that some English fans claim Australian

Crowds can be rough as well, Khawaja further commented that some English fans justify their behavior by claiming that Australian crowds can be equally rough when they tour Australia. However, he disagreed with this rationale, stating that he doesn’t believe such behavior is right, regardless of which country it occurs in. He expressed disappointment with the actions of some fans and acknowledged that such incidents can happen in sports events around the world, including in the NBA. While recognizing that cricket allows fans to be in close proximity to players, Khawaja reiterated his disapproval of such conduct and emphasized that he doesn’t agree with it.
